I have expressed an ikebana as a scene. The ikebana means a flower arrangement in Japan. I think that this is a new trying for a new style. I want to make some scenes using this. I hope that the style becomes new one of my styles. If you like such scenes, I'm glad.
You can see other angles of this scene at my BLOG.
Japanese ikebanas are about showing beauty and harmony of the flowers and plants arranged while maintaining a 'naturally' arranged aesthetic and i think you've done very well here. The chromatic colours on the monochromatic background are wonderful as i find with all your work and i like that you have the maple branch in there for leafery. Personally i think it might accentuate the theme a little more if you added some oriental flowers in there rather than the sunflowers and youll find you can get some wonderful colours in flowers such as oriental lillies and cherry blossom branches. Allover i really enjoy this piece of work
