I have always equated the traffic of my site ,
not with my arts' quality or lack of?
But with the sheer numbers/volume of people that hit my profile to say thank you...

Thank you for your opinions. I found that there are some factors for the Pageviews by everyone's opinions. I want to think an aggregate evaluation including various parameters in the future. ^^

That was interesting to read. I've often wondered about it, myself, and I would have to add another variable, in many cases: the community presence.

For example I, on the 1st of April, I spent quite some time in the deviantART Forums and as a result, on that day I got 277 pageviews, whereas normally I'm on an average of 50-100.

But as for the rest, I agree with what you found out: I also got the impression (though I never did such a nice and thorough research), that the pageviews seem to increase as the submitted work decreases. I know not what causes it, but it's something I observed often.
Also, DDs and collaborations with other deviants make quite a difference in pageviews! And, last but not least, being an administrator for some big Groups helps as well. Since I became an administrator for #theWrittenRevolution , I gained much more watchers and my pageviews increase more rapidly. Now I get one thousand more every 20-25 days. :)

Many people wonder how someone gets many pageviews, and I myself sometimes am surprised to see how members like you, or `hellobaby, get so many, but I think it depends mostly on the quality of the works and the effort deviants put. Support others and you will get support in return, be present in the community and you will get noticed.
As a result, pageviews WILL increase, it's the logical consequence of events.

And, my friend, your English was perfectly understandable. Everyone makes mistakes, but they don't affect the message you wanted to give at all. :)

Thank you very much for your support and opinions. I thought the trasition of evolution using some parameters by some e-mails. ^^ But when a new consideration is produced, it is necessary to become careful. Therefore I have requested the opinions for it to everybody. I'm very glad for everyone's opinions. :) And I want to discuss about your opinions.

It was found that there are some factors for the inclease in Pageview. That depends on FAV, comments, watch, some events, an activity on groups and so on. I think that those factors can be included to an activity of art. For this, it is necessary to include those factors as a parameter. At a present step, my consideration can be applied for persons with submitted works, because other factors are not included in my consideration. I want to be able to advance this consideration to an aggregate of evaluation.
Thank you very much! :D

:) Yes, Pageviews depend on many, many factors. I think it would be somewhat difficult to create a graph (and an equation) to represent how Pageviews change with all of these factors together, because they are a lot, as you said. However, with enough data I think that is something possible to do and I would like to see anything else you will get out of your considerations!

You're welcome, of course. Always a pleasure to discuss with you! :D

It is difficult to express a transition of evaluation using whole factors, because we have no detailed information. But I think that a part of the transition can be expressed using the present factors. I want to consider more. ^^
Thank you!!

Hey mate, that's some really interesting thing, I never tried to chart pageviews (it seemed a bit too much for me hahah) but you're onto something here.
There's one factor that I think you might want to consider, even though it might be really difficult to chart accurately; the amount of time and comments you make onto other people's art, and the participation you make in the community overall. For example, when I haven't posted any deviation in a long time, but in my inbox I have hundreds of deviations to look through, my pageviews usually spikes. That's probably because I :+fave: quite a few and also comment a lot. Of course, these are short term changes in the overall 'average pageviews per day' and usually don't increase that average...
Hmm, what do you think?

Also, if you'd like me to send you Pageviews data from my site, is there a way to know how many people visited past months? I don't know how.. :/

Oh, and don't worry about your English, it's okay, we all understood :D
If you want me to check grammar on something, don't hesitate to ask, my friend!

Thank you for your opinions. I think when you do FAV to works by other artists, it is the evaluation to the artists. When the Pageviews increases with no submitted works, the solution becomes infinity in my consideration. In my consideration, I want to think the transition of works. Therefore this cannot apply to the case without no submitted works. I want to advance the transition of evaluation. I think that the transition will become an aggregate evaluation on each artist or group by including the factors of comments, FAVs, friends and so on.
Thank you so much for your opinions. ^^
